SMS: Rain

I don’t know if any of you like rain? I'm not talking about when we are at home, in the warmth of our bed, while it rains outside. That does not count! I am talking about those days when we need to go outside. It's not a nice feeling to be in completely soaked clothes or to have our notebooks with ripples. But, in these moments, we give greater value to small areas where the rain can’t reach, such as bus stops or at the entrance of some shops. These work as refuges, shelters, or whatever you want to call it. Well, it’s not only good to have a refuge for our body but also for the soul. We need a place where we are safe from multiple situations, and I'm not talking about the weather right now. We can see in Psalms 61:3 (King James Version) that we have a refuge for all of this, in God: “For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.” So, if you are tired of walking in the rain or fixing the umbrella, which due to the wind insists on turning around, find a refuge in God! Go to the shelter, so that you'll have the sense of security that you need so much.

SMS: Advices

When we are facing a moment of decision, many times we turn to people who are close to us to ask for advices. Asking for advices isn't a bad practice, but it is unreliable due to the fact that those who give you advice are human beings. Despite the advice being given by those who love us, it does not always mean that those are the best. People unconsciously tend to see what they want to see. We want to believe that there is a solution for everything, and sometimes it's not quite that way things should go. Who knows, it may even be necessary to break, cut and plant again! I do think that advices are a good thing, I'm not saying otherwise, but we must be careful with the things that reach our ears. Maybe we should use a filter and select, but this is only possible if we go to a credible source, a source that doesn't make mistakes and that can see the future - God. We can see in Proverbs 8:14 that God says: "Counsel is mine, and sound knowledge: I am understanding; I have might". Based on this, we need to seek God first, because He always gives the best advice! Let God give you wisdom to listen to advices, but also for you to give the best advice to those around you.
