Érica Veiga

Hey! My name is Érica Veiga, I am 18 years old, I live in Lisboa but I was born in Castelo Branco and I’m currently at college.

Since little I go to the church. Because of the fact that I am a pastor’s daughter I grew up with innumerous rules of how I should behave. And early I began to question God. If He really existed and truly loved me why had I to live a life in which I was not free and had to be governed by rules? Until one day God made me realize a wonderful thing: He truly loves me, and He gave His only son to die in my place so that I could be free from a life that had no purpose and would drive me to a place far from Him. I realize that doing what pleases Him, I am thanking Him for what He did for me and I should not face it as an obligation but as a love act.

“If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36)

“As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.” (1 Peter 2:16)

Stay acoustic,

Érica Veiga
