SMS: Neighbor & Hospitality

As neighbor day is approaching , let's talk about it! I don’t know why, but this word has won a negative connotation. We talk about neighbors and suddenly everybody thinks of noisy or nosy people, in general people that annoy everybody. It's a shame that no one imagines the times in the past, when someone asked for something they were lacking, like sugar or even potatos, and the neighbor would give it right away. The truth is that the word " neighbor " refers to someone who is close, regardless of whether his residence is near ours or not. Often, we tend to forget about these friendly swaps, in which one attains to the needs of the other and vice versa. We can see this in Hebrews 13: 1-2a: “Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers". We need more of that: helping each other, showing hospitality, and receiving and giving love always!

Spread Love,

SMS: Music & Praise

When Acoustic began, we were just four friends that wanted to create music, since we had no opportunity to engage in our church. However, when we began working, something was in all our minds. Yes, music is something fun, but, more than some art r way of living, it’s a powerful instrument for worship, praise and connection with God. We gave up on our time, talent, dedication and effort to worship Him in the best way we can and know. So, this week I ask of you something: do not see music, mainly non-christian music, as just art. Think about the consequences that they have on your lives… and in your relationship with God. Me and Acoustic understood how powerful this type of praising was for our lives and we chose music as a great way to express ourselves to Him and tell people about Him.

Have a nice week,

D.

SMS: Winning or losing?

Who likes to lose? From the most simple of things to people, we don’t handle with losses in the better way. Sometimes we even feel like everything will colapse and that we are one step away from losing everything! We feel helpless and incapable of doing something. We feel weak, without any fighting capability within us. But don’t be discouraged already, because I bring you good news: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37). Even if sometimes we feel defeated by certain situations, we are more than winners! Why? Because we have the greatest prize of all - the biggest gift - given by the One that shed His great love for us. We have eternal life. We are saved. Never forget this amazing victory!

Kisses,
L.
